NikstlitslepmurBased on Grimm's fairy tale "Rumplestiltskin"
The story is filled with morality, everything from greed to honesty to selfishness. In this painting, my thoughts immediately went to the poor girl who is the victim of her father's own thirst for a position of higher consequence. It was his lie that started the conflict for the girl. It is my view that it is better to be content with your life rather than put you or someone else in danger of losing that which is most dear.
