At the End of the Trail
This painting is based upon a short Aesop's fable, "The Eagle and the Arrow."In the tale, an Eagle Scout filled with his own pride searching for food has found himself at an impasse due to an arrow, made from his own feather. The eagle is ironically wounded by his own life, taking an arrow to the heart that was forged from its own plumes. We often give our enemy's the means for our own destruction.
