Bear and the Fox
This painting is based on Aesop's Fable titled 'The Bear and The Fox'.The story has Bear being very boastful to all the other animals about how refined he is; so refined in fact that he will not touch anything dead. While Fox is there to set him straight by saying 'I wish you would confine your attention to the dead and not the living'. The painting is a depiction of Bear after his encounter with Fox in which he has befriended Fox and has allowed Fox to guide him further in the ways of the world.
