For Every Action
This painting is based on the "Pied Piper of Hamelin".A legendary fairy tale with roots in the middle ages, and adaptations by some of the finest authors including the Brothers Grimm and Robert Browning. The story itself is one of darkness, deception, and eventual ruination. However, this artistic interpretation's aim is to expose the monotony that is inherent within the piper's luring song of lies and deceit by replacing him with the seemingly innocent demeanor of a mouse. I wanted to put a twist on the story, and try to convey that when we as a people get tired of hearing the same old tune played by someone who leads us, we must find a new one that better suits our ears.
